September is fall leaves and cooler temperatures. It is shorts and sandals being traded for sweaters and long pants. It is school time and somewhat of a return to normalcy. For us at the Jackson house, September also means bottling with a capital "B". This year with Jane Anne's and Becca's help we bottled over 100 quarts of peaches! Pears,tomatoes, and several batches of peach raspberry jam were done. Applesauce and apple pie filling are our next project. I feel like a mother squirrel getting ready for winter!!!
